This is a one-year full-time programme aimed at high quality students who wish to develop and apply techniques appropriate for industrial or academic careers at the cutting-edge of research and development. The programme is designed to equip a student with the knowledge and skills needed to play a leading part in the future research and development of systems and technologies that are vital to the growth of the global economy, reducing costs, improving quality and providing ever more sophisticated services. The programme allows students to follow one of six main reserach areas: Electronic and Computer Engineering Communications Engineering Communications Networks Satellite and Mobile Communications Embedded Systems Interactive Digital Media One third of your time will be spent on compulsory and optional modules that will develop your subject knowledge and professional skills. You will receive training on research skills and the remaining two thirds of your time will be devoted to a research project. Applications are welcome from any student who has, or is expecting to achieve a 2:1 (or above) in their first degree. Funding for this course is available for a limited number of UKEU students. The normal entry requirements are a first degree of at least good UK upper second-class Honours standard, an appropriate standard of English and adequate financial support.
