The MSc Project Management meets a specific skills gap in industry for engineers with project management skills who can lead on engineering projects in any sector. The Project Management masters will give you a fundamental understanding of advances in engineering and expand your knowledge of management. Middlesex University is the only institution in London to offer a postgraduate degree in engineering project management. A project manager not only helps to reduce costs, but gives a project flexibility, and can assist with access to new technologies and developments. The MSc Project Management is for graduates with some industrial understanding that wish to move into project management within the engineering industry. The course provides the latest experiences of current best practice with regard to human, financial and Total Quality Management (TQM) of an engineering enterprise. Your role could also lead to a career in a professional project management company working within the health, energy, manufacturing and environmental sectors. Teaching staff and links with industry The teaching staff on the course have great experience in teaching and research within the engineering industry. Many are professors and are able to draw from various areas such as: supply chains, engineering innovation, quality assurance, software development and project management. The Product Design and Engineering department has a number of links with major manufacturers such as Ford, Festo and Mitsubishi. The programme makes use of the expertise from industry to supply recent experience, for example a specialist in human and financial management, who has managed world class manufacturing chains in India and Europe.

 

Entry Requirements

To be accepted to study on the MSc Project Management programme, we normally require graduates with a good honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate subject.
